One of the things we are most passionate about is shallow-water, light-tackle angling. It’s what some of us think about when we should be doing something else.
And so when we got a call from Hell’s Bay Boatworks, it was a no-brainer. After all, Hell’s Bay makes the world’s finest shallow-water skiffs. They are the Rolls Royce, the Cadillac, the Krug Champagne of skiffs.
We saw an opportunity to communicate a deeper emotional connection with their core audience—to show a point of view, those shared values, the things we all agree on and believe in.
And so we’ve been creating a vast body of work to illuminate the fact that they do more than build boats. They build experiences. They insist on excellence; they don’t tolerate compromise, holding themselves to the highest standards. And in doing so, they have created a tribe of like-minded sportsmen and women who own and enjoy them.
At Markham & Stein, we hold ourselves to the same standards. And we are proud of the work we have done with the team at Hell’s Bay Boatworks. Over the last five years, our Hell’s Bay work has been awarded “Best Marketing Campaign” in the entire boating industry three times by the National Marine Manufacturers Association. We’ve also helped them grow their sales by over 500% in the last four years.
